You know how I know you are gay?
Because you give an exclusive interview to People magazine and say so! (sorry for the cheesy 40 Year Old Virgin quote).
So apparently while I was too deathly ill to get to a computer, and after my last post, Neil Patrick Harris has come out saying:
“The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.
“So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”
I think this is pretty big of NPH to do. He is taking the high road and rather than be upset about canada.com outing him, he just goes ahead and publicly sets the record straight. As I said before, this only make his acting look that much better. But not being gay myself, I wonder if it is harder or easier for him to be such a womanizer in his character. What do you think?

It’s a shame that there are people who are taking this so far out of hand…even to the point where they say, “I can’t take NPH seriously anymore” or “I can’t watch HIMYM because now I know that Barney isn’t who I thought he was.”
It’s a pretty sad that we still have this stigma about gays and lesbians, and that we can’t just let people live their lives how they want to.

I have to agree. When I watched the new one last night, Some of the people I was with made similar comments. Like I said above, it just makes him look like that much better of an actor.
Though I did find some of the girly jokes they through his way last night pretty funny in light of recent events.

I think it is totally ironic that “Barney” is gay. I was shocked to find out. I think homosexuality is wrong, but really, when it comes to watching the show, who cares? His character is going to be the same. If he’s gay now, he was gay during Season 1 and that was still funny.
