Atlantic City

Bikini Shirt Robin

This episode opens with Lilly and Marshal in Ted and Marshall’s apartment sitting on the couch in their pajamas like we’ve seen them so many times. Then Lilly says something about marriage and Marshall has her propose to him. After some hanky-panky Lilly realizes what a mess she made when she left and Marshall had to call everyone and tell them the marriage is off. The idea of standing in front of all those judging eyes makes her want to run off to Atlantic City and elope. Which is where the episode takes off.

After rounding up the gang, which includes getting Barney from a peticure, they arrive in A.C. But they hit a snag. Atlantic City apparently isn’t the place to elope. It requires a license that takes a few days to get, unless of course you get a judge to get give you one!

My favorite part of the episode was when Barney is playing “Shing Hibusa Shing” (or something like that) which looks like the craziest game ever. When Marshall figures it out and tells him what to do was awesome!

Barneyisms were a little skimpy on this episode, but the two I thought that were worthy of writing about go as follows.

  • “Ah, it’s not gambling if you absolutly know you are going to wind”
  • “I’ll get us that money. I swear it. Nay, I oath it!”
