This episode was priceless. I couldn’t stop laughing when they got the the pat where Barney met Emmit Smith. The whole dancing bit was funny as well!

Does anyone know the title of the song that was played at the end of this weeks episode?

Great episode.Marshall getting back at the kid in Lilys’ class was priceless.

Funny episode. However, the writers should have not included that idea that this Super Bowl was “forgetable.” There was a lot of historical aspects of this years Super Bowl that was basically blown off by the show (and could upset some minority groups out there).
I love this show, but the ending narrative really hit below the belt with regards to this years Super Bowl.
On a more positive spin, the special glasses Ted had was great and the Kindergarten class scenes were priceless.

I loved this episode. Ted’s goggles were great!

Anyone know the title of the “whistling” song when everyone almost (well, Barney actually did) found out who won?

What was the song that played twice during the show with the whistling?! I know I’ve heard it before. I’d really appreciate it if you guys can help!

Don’t complain about them passing off this Super Bowl as forgettable… most of them are, and this was recorded well before the game. I actually enjoyed how they tactfully avoided naming the teams.

Yeah, it wasn’t a stab at the superbowl. do you think they filmed the entire episode yesterday with complete knowledge of what happened? passing the superbowl off as forgettable was the end to a running joke throughout the episode. When it was being filmed they had no idea who was even in the super bowl, let alone who won, or any specific events that happened. I thought it was creative how they managed to side step details about the superbowl.

I think this is the song you are looking for. It was played in last nights episode:
“Young Folks” by Peter, Bjorn, and John featuring Victoria Bergsman

Go to the myspace of HIMYM, they have the video of the song for that was used up there. Maybe Ben, can put it on here for us all to see. Go to Myspace and type in how I met your mother and you can play the entire video and listen to the entire song.
Yeah, the show was filmed way before the superbowl. I am Ted’s age and to be honest 20 years from now, I doubt I will recall about who won or think about the black coaches. Comparing NFL coaches to Martin Luther King is going a little to far, I thought.
Pretty good show, I thought Robin was a bit over the top though. I mean I know no one watches news channel, but I think that was going pretty far.

I’m re-watching the episode on InnerTube now, and it is AWESOME! I need to pick up a Sensory Deprivator 5000!
There is something about a grown man on timeout in a room full of kindergarteners that slays me.
Hey, does anyone know what kind of sweatshirt Marshall was wearing in the Super Bowl flashbacks for SB 38 and where I can pick one up? It was green and had yellow trim on it.

I would like to make a retraction of my previous comment about “forgetable”. I watched the episode on CBS.com and they said “unforgetable.” I am just a Indianapolis Colts fan, so I thought the worst
Great episode, it is funnier the second time around. Looking forward to this season on DVD!

I just noticed a continuity problem with the Super Bowl episode.
In the Super Bowl flashbacks, Robin shows up at the party for Super Bowl XL. However, since HIMYM takes place in actual time (sort of), I took a look at the airdates of the show, and during the time that Super Bowl XL happened, Ted was with Victoria, not Robin.

I am not sure the dates were ever made clear for “The Wedding” But since it appeared to have happened right after the Limo we can assume that is was mid-jan.
He wasnt with Robin than, he was just saying how cool she was. Marshal was just mad that he let Robin in on the tradition, something certainly Ted could not have gotten away with likely with a girl he knew for like two/ three weeks tops.
Lets say it was acceptable for victoria to come over, maybe she just couldnt make it. She could have had a busy night the night before at the bakery making superbowl cakes or something, or had a tradition of her own, because unlike Robin she had other friends in the city.
So, its possible she just wasnt there. As for Ted saying flirty things about Robin, well we all know he liked her still anyway. Besides, it might have been “Drunk Ted” saying that anyway.
