Thanks to the two readers who sent in this tip, Courtney and Quasi (where were the rest of ya’ll?).

Over on TVSquad.com one of the bloggers there got a chance to talk to Carter Bays and Craig Thomas about HIMYM and came away with quite a few juicy tips!  The one I’d like to talk about is similar to what we have been discussing on the fancast a few times.  One of the things that has been a bit disappointing curious about the show is the fact that stories from an episode don’t seem to carry over to future episodes.  Well we have it from the mouths of the writers that they in fact do intend on crossing some of these stories over.  From the article:

Bays says that he and Thomas know where the show is going and what the plan is. Which means that fans can rest easy; the writers haven’t forgotten about Barney’s unwise selection of slap punishment: five slaps at any time of Marshall’s choosing, without warning, for infinity. “Our goal in this show is to never leave things unresolved. Eventually all the questions will be answered every open storylines will be concluded. And, yes, we will see more slaps.”

While they have now said that they are going to leave no story unresolved, I can only think that the shows will get better.  This also seems to say that they plan on staying around for a while.  There are several story lines that need to be completed!
