Arrivederci, Fiero

Monday’s new episode will be called “Arrivederci, Fiero”. From CBS:

Monday, February 26, 8:00pm et/pt

Arrivederci, Fiero
When Marshall’s beloved Fiero gives out just shy of 200,000 miles, the gang recalls all of their great memories in the car.

I thought this episode was okay. Not the best we’ve seen but it still had it’s funny moments. There were several flashbacks, which are always funny, and some story development showing how all the characters became friends. Well accept Barney, but we saw that in the very first episode (I watched that one tonight too). We completely left skipped over the Ted and Robin moving in together thing, which makes me believe this was just a filler episode. I’ve noticed several times where we have major story developments in one episode then skip over it the next episode and bring it back later. It seems like they have several episodes they want to write just to be funny ones, with out much story continuation and then others where they carry the whole story through.

Now I personally don’t mind that much but I think it can be confusing for those people who haven’t been watching all along. Say you just started last week with “Stuff”, you like it, and you want to see how the moving in together thing works out for Ted and Robin. So you tune in this week only to find that the story isn’t continued. You may not tune in the next time to see what does happen. Just a late night thought.

That was funny. I loved the bit with Lily knocking out the windows to “puke” in the seats. Great explanation on the cigar switch. And Barneys’ driving lesson was priceless.
