Boycott CBS?
Dallas is the first one to send in an example of what he is doing to help in the fight to save HIMYM. Dallas writes:
I sent CBS a complaint tonight…please see below.
I just want to say that I have heard that my FAVORITE show on CBS, “How I Met Your Mother”, is going to be cancelled. I really enjoy the show and if a third season doesn’t scome on, I will not watch any more shows on CBS. That includes CSI, CSI:Miami, Cold Case, and any other shows that my wife and I may watch. I am very upset that anyone wants to cancel this show. There are several people that watch the show. Some of your people may think that the show is not funny, but there are several people that watch the show and think it is hilarious!! There is even a blog!!! Visit howimetyourblog.com to see people that really enjoy the show. I am very upset that someone thinks that my favorite show isn’t funny. Is this person in their seventies or something??? I am 23 years old and How I Met Your Mother is a really good show for viewers in my age group and older. Please do not cancel the show!! It is the best ever and if it doesn’t come on for a third season, my wife and I will stop watching any CBS show.
Thanks!

I don’t know that it will help, but I hope it does.
I’m with Dallas and the others of you that have said HIMYM is the only show you watch on CBS, and I can also say that if HIMYM gets canceled it will be my last. How about you? If CBS cancels HIMYM are you going to boycott them?

Yes I will, and I already sent CBS a letter saying that I will and I’ll write to their advertisers and tell them I’m boycotting any product advertised on CBS.

Everything except CSI Vegas, but season 8 will probably be its last, and after that I will not trust them with another show.

HIMYM, The Class, The Late Show, and The Late Late Show are the only CBS shows I care to watch. And if HIMYM is cancelled (and The Class isn’t looking like it’ll get a 2nd season, either), CBS might lose my viewership. Although the Late Late Show is too good to just stop watching.
It’s seriously ridiculous that shows that claim to be “comedies” like Yes Dear, Two and a Half Men, and an array of ABC shows get to stay on the air seemingly forever. All the while, they lack any comedic merit. Yet HIMYM, with some of the best sitcom writing seen in years, along with an amazing cast with superb chemistry and delivery, is in doubt because some bigshot has his panties in a bunch? It doesn’t make sense! Critics love the show. Fans adore the show, and it has a solid fanbase. It’s aired in 16 countries. They just inked a new deal with 20th Century FOX and recently won a few Emmys for direction and writing.
If they want to know what to do, it’s fairly simple. Drop the s*it shows that aren’t funny. New Adventures of Old Christine, I’m looking in your direction. It hasn’t been fairing all that well since CBS brought it back. And it is just NOT funny and utterly impossible to enjoy. Take elements of Veronica’s Closet, Caroline in the City, Ellen, The Nanny, and any other show which focuses on the life of one female lead give it a 21st century twist, and you have the New Adventures of Old Christine. Nothing NEW about that.
I really wish that television execs would just stop thinking that they know what the general public will and won’t like.

I’m a viewer from Spain, that’s why my english is not as good as it should be. Well, I think that is not fair that CBS take HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER away because it’s funny and fresh and it is difficult to say the same to other shows which are still on the air.
I think that before two seasons the show has a define public and the CBS should continue with the show just for the audience who was there during that time.
That’s all, regards from Spain!!

How I Met Your Mother is the best comedy on tv since Friends and it is the only show I currently watch on CBS. If it is cancelled because some executive, who clearly can’t see great comedy when it’s right in front of him, doesn’t like it, then I will definitely never watch another show on CBS.

Just thought I’d pass this along.

Has a contest for a 15 second goodbye to Bob Barker. NPH is on the commercial, and he mentions that Bob Barker will be appearing on the April 30th HIMYM, and it appeared as if Barney will be on the Price is Right on that Episode.
Happy Easter!
