Guasima pointed me to this list of 2007 Emmy Considerations. How I Met Your Mother is all over the place.

Comedy Series:
How I Met Your Mother (”Slap Bet”)

Lead Actor:
How I Met Your Mother (Josh Radnor - “Lucky Penny”)
Supporting Actress:
How I Met Your Mother (Alyson Hannigan - episode ??)
How I Met Your Mother (Cobie Smulders - “Slap Bet”)

Supporting Actor:
How I Met Your Mother (Neil Patrick Harris - “World’s Greatest Couple”)

How I Met Your Mother (Jane Seymour - “Aldrin Justice”)

So what do we notice?

update: As pointed out in the comments, I may not have made this clear, but these are just considerations.  They are not nominations yet.  Those come later.

    I do not think we will have to worry to much about season 4 next year. Especially if they win them.

    Just for clarification, this doesn’t mean they are nominated. These are just the episodes CBS sent in for Emmy consideration. If the powers behind the Emmy awards deems some of those episodes worthy for a nomination, then they’ll do that.

    I really hope they get at least a few nominations. It’s unlikely that all of those will be nominated, but who knows. But I think any attention is good for the show, even if they don’t win the awards.

    I think if I could only choose one to at least get nominated I think Neil deserves it. He really stands out.

    If “Slap Bet” isn’t nominated, I might just lose faith in the human race. That was 22 minutes of the best television that I saw all year.

    The emmys pissed me off last year. They put Desperate Housewives up for best comedy. I thought it was a drama.
