HIMYM Wins an Emmy!
Ok, so it’s not one of those fancy actor or actress Emmys, but it’s still an Emmy. Moreover it’s for one the shining aspects of HIMYM that often goes unnoticed. How I Met Your Mother won an Emmy for “Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series.” Congrats to the HIMYM Staff on their award!

Woah when did this happen!? I thought I watched the whole thing. Did it happen after the Sopranos won the outstanding drama series because I turned it off during their speech because I could have sworn they said that was the last award.

I did too and didn’t see it. I found this this morning online. I have a feeling “Art Direction” awards aren’t that thrilling and therefore not aired on national television.

They won the award at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmys, which were given out about a week before the actual Emmys. They are more for technical achievement, and I’m pretty sure they weren’t aired.
Last year, they won for Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series(for the pilot) and Outstanding Cinematography for a Multi-Camera Series(for ‘The Limo’).
These are nice, but it doesn’t give the show much recognition. Maybe next year.
