Little Late
Sorry I’m a little late posting on this weeks episode. I am in the middle of the first of two moves in the next month.
This weeks episode “Ten Sessions” I thought was pretty good…. except for one thing. Can you guess it? Yeah, Ms. Spears performance left something to be desired. Wow. That was bad. Sarah Chalke on the other hand I thought was fantastic, and the difference between them was major!
All-in-all I really liked this episode. Especially the two minute date. Oh and we had the taxi driver back (what’s his name again?)

I think the driver’s name is Ranjit?

yep, its ranjit.
ok riddle me this, my girlfriend and i make it a point to watch the show everyweek, and during season 3 we have noticed that robin and barney are getting alot closer, always sitting together, robin was laying on him in one of the episoded before the strike, and again this week with that little back and forth between them in the bar about barney trying to get with robin. I think that in the end barnicle and robin are going to end up together……am i crazy?
also, has it been determined if we get a season 4?

didn’t anyone notice when the doctor was explaining about her busy life, she said that she only gets to go one party and that was St.Patrick’s day, she said she left the party early.
The mystery mother was also at that party.
This could be a hint that she is the mother.
what do you lot think ?

Oh my gosh YES!!! I’ve been talking to everyone I know who watches the show. It has to be a sway or something for Sarah Chalke’s character Stella to be the mother!!! I certainly hope so, she was my favorite Becky and I love her on Scrubs!!

Sarah Chalke’s performance was great and the 2 minute date idea was a good way to allow Ted’s character to grow. It seems that they are trying to have Ted grow up this season and mature. With television, it is always possible, but I do not think she would be the mother.
Personally, I still wish Victoria from season 1 would be the mother, but that is very doubtful since she would be in Germany during Saint Patrick’s Day.
With the current ratings of the show (10 million plus viewers), I wish CBS would go ahead and renew the show so we can get ready for another fun season and the writers/producers can start planning ahead. I think they are trying to keep things organized in the event of cancellation, they can wrap up the show with a proper ending by leaving small clues that might not even be used if additional seasons are ordered (Ted bumping into the mysterious girl on Saint Patrick’s day).
I think HIMYM is doing a good job with bringing some quality episodes after the strike and the ratings have been wonderful. The next episode seems to focus on Barney, which will continue to help the show grow and build upon the audience that currently supports the show.

She also said that she has a 8 year old daughter. That would make her 30 in 2030. So that means her daughter is not the one Ted is talking to in 2030. Unless Ted is just not mentioning their Step sister.

Ok, I also thought that the reference to the St. Patrick’s party was a huge nod to the idea that Stella is “Your Mother”, but in a way, it’s almost too big a hint…smells like a red herring. But the fact that Scrubs is ending and Sarah Chalke would be available for next season…ARGH!! My brain hurts, lol. I have to mention how much I loved the return of Ranjit; that was awesome.
I’m waiting to see if Craig Thomas and Carter Bays remember the goat in the bathroom for Ted’s birthday this year, hmmm…?

Actually, Scrubs is getting a Season 8 on ABC. The deal isn’t completely settled yet, but they’ve decided to start filming soon, so it must be a sure thing.
The St. Patty’s Day party seemed like too much of a hint. I’m sure there was more than one party in New York going on at the time, and the kids would have been like “That’s mom!” after either the mention of Stella’s name or the fact that she had an 8-year-old stepdaughter. Also, consider the fact that the meeting between Stella and Ted had nothing to do with the yellow umbrella.

In response to CyberTrini, I read an article by one of the show creators in Entertainment Magazine following the strike. In the article, he talked about coming back to work after the strike and finding a big white board filled with ideas and possible episode titles. one of the titles was “The Goat”.
I agree with everyone in that Stella probably isn’t the mother. In the St. Patricks day episode, Ted mentioned that the mother was at the party but he didn’t meet her then. I think if Stella was at the party he probably would have recognized her.
I also agree that Brittany Spears was awful. She’s not a good actor. If it weren’t for her, I would be totally comfortable in saying that this was my favorite episode of the season. From a writers aspect, there have been some ups and downs this season. I think the writers really hit it out of the park with this episode!

I had read that the show was on the bubble. I’m glad to hear that they may be working on a season 8 though. This has been one of my favorites since the get go. And I’m really hoping Sarah Chalke is the mother, but if the show is possbily going to end, it may just be a neat way to wrap it up, by casting her as someone her dates/possible mother.

im sorry for those ones who still think that the doctor is ted’love..just because of the comentary of st. patricks day..here goes the reason…:
-1 If i am not wrong, i think she says she went last year to st patricks party..but the one who ted attended was in 2008..not in 2007..
-2 The fact she says she has gone to a party in st patricks day..doesnt mean its the same party with ted…arent thousands of parties in NY??
