Just when I slack off…

HIMYM brings their A-game.  You all know how I’ve been making excuses for not watching the last two episodes and not posting about them? I’ve gotta come clean. While I have been truthful in that I’m busy and have been movin, I’ve also have been kinda bored with How I Met Your Mother lately.  I still really like the show, but I’ve been more entertained by some other shows.  So when it came down to watching HIMYM for you guys or watching something I was enjoying more…. I’m sorry but I was a bad friend. I was selfish.  While I won’t promise this won’t happen again, I will promise I will always apologize afterwards.

I finally sat down last night and watched the last two episodes and was blown away.   “The Bracket” is one of the best episodes ever! The Doogie Howser reference at the end was priceless. And how about Barney’s apology? Then the “Chain of Screaming” (circle, or pyramid, or whatever) was pretty good.  My favorite scene was after Marshall got threw spilling his guts, when Barney leaned over and told him about his shotgun call.  Which by the way, I totally used today.  I called shotgun for eternity today at lunch, though I don’t think it stuck.

What do you guys think?

The Doogie reference was pure comic gold. I’d forgotten that he was the original blogger. I also loved the bracket on the chalkboard. I couldn’t tell for sure, but it looked like they had the actual NCAA matchups correct too. Pretty cool.

Anyone else notice that Robin is barely a part of the story this season, particularly since the end of the writer’s strike? She’ll have a few lines, but for the most part she’s barely in it.

Could you please explain the part, where Barney calls ’shotgun for eternity’. what does that refer to?

a person calls ’shotgun’ to reserve the front seat. so shotgun for eternity means barney gets the front seat for eternity. though ’shotgun’ rules don’t really allow for such calls.
