“The Goat”
Craig and Carter have continued this season’s theme of story-line continuations and cliffhangers. I’m still not sure if I really enjoyed this episode. What do you guys think?
I definitely laughed out loud many times, but I did really appreciate the goat story-line, or the ending. I mean why did they call this episode “The Goat” instead of something else?
We did see more of Barney’s office and his motivational poster collection and his amazing legendary shredder! Then we had Rajit (spelling?) again and the goat.
I’m still on the fence and need your help, convince me in the comments whether this was a good or bad episode.

“The Goat” was an interesting one for me personally. I think it was about the best (funniest) episode since the writers went back to work: maybe they need more time to hit their stride?
Anyway, I think it was more on the side of a “good” episode than a “bad” one.
Of course, the major thing issue in this episode was that for some reason or other, Robin is living in Ted/Lily & Marshall’s apartment during Ted’s 31st birthday (IE during Season 4)!! Will be interesting to see how they get there.

This is JackAttack, Jacktopher, Jackonice08, however you know me.
This episode in my opinion was great. I hate comedies that are dry and don’t advance towards any real plot, whatsoever. I need some emotion, some drama, and this one had it. This episode was great. I’d say it was the best episode since 10 sessions. I wasn’t a big fan of Sandcastles, or the Chain. This was great, and I expect the same for the next few episodes, mainly because it could be the end times for the series. Hopefully it isn’t, but if you’re working towards ending a decent season, you want advancement to happen in every episode.
I’d rate it near the 9/10 category. The best episode of the season has easily been 10 sessions, and this wasn’t too far behind it.

Ok, I kinda saw this coming, although I didn’t think of the ‘Bro Code’ specifically. I loved the execution of this episode: all of the characters were written well, and the idea that Barney had a bound volume of the ‘Code’ shocked no one I am sure, lol. Even though Lily taking the goat home seemed as if it was just to justify the title and the set up from season 1, her asking how Barney was in bed just seemed to fit her character… How sad that Barney was exiled for his crime, but I kinda saw that coming. How NOT legen..wait for it…dary. So, question is now: how do they become friends again? why does Robin end up moving in next year? and how are they going to get ANOTHER goat in the story?? lol…
One quick question, if anyone knows: has HIMYM been confirmed for next season yet?

wow, this episode was to me like a direct response to my comment on the previous episode. everything i said the show lacked since coming back from the strike, they got back! i am truly happy, this episode made me laugh out loud a whole bunch of times.
and concerning the name, i do agree that the whole goat thing was kinda pointless in the story but ithik it worked great as a way to throw you off the actual big event inthe episode, ted and barney not being bros anymore. plus they wereable to sneak in a lil cliff hanger about next season….
