Ted’s Life
During the season finale, Ted has a few moments where his “life flashes before his eyes”. The other night I challenged someone to capture all the frames of his flash back so we could see what he saw. I couldn’t wait any longer and it wasn’t as hard as I thought so I went ahead and whipped it up. Below you will find a still from all his life moments. (thanks Anthony for describing them in the comments)

Wow… thanks for the screen captures! It sure beats quickly alternating the play and pause buttons in order to see everything.
One question… can anyone explain to me the picture of what looks to be Ted’s wedding (middle of the 12th row)? It apparently was from the Lucky Penny episode in season 2 but I can’t remember that episode very well.

Yea thats when he says the famous line, if i had moved to chicago i wouldnt of met your mother and u see him at an altar with robin in the stands.
I didnt really see anything that stood out here did anyone?

Thanks Anthony! I was just confused because everything else was a true flashback, while Ted’s wedding would have happened after the crash.

Great work. I just wonder why he would see flashbacks of stuff he wasn’t there in person to see. Like Barney and Robin playing laser tag… Ted wasn’t there, why would he have that visual memory?
I’m probably being to nit-picky, but the logic doesn’t make sense. Also, I said nit-picky, which is embarrassing for me.

Maybe not, but Ted wasn’t present at those things and we still see on the show because he has heard of these stories from his friends. He is telling his kids stuff he didn’t even witness, so I see no reason why he wouldn’t flash to these memories of his -him present or not, and made up in his head.

My guess is that it was meant to be a quick clip montage of the “best hits” of the past 3 seasons that many shows do around the 100th episode or the finale. The whole episode, to me anyway, felt like it was written in a way that let it serve the double purpose of season fianle and series finale had it been cancelled.
