I wanted to get this little stub of a post up so you all had somewhere to comment on tonight’s season primier.  I’ll be back with my thoughts when I can finish watching.  Hopefully CBS will have it online shortly!

update: So I went ahead and bought the whole season on iTunes.  It’s a little expensive, but this way I’ll have a copy of them to keep.

Anyways, I finally got to watch this episode.  And I’m glad we’re back!   The episode as a whole was alright, but it does a good job of setting up some coming stories for this season.  I have a feeling this isn’t the end for Barney and Robin, despite his little “Ode to Bimbos” at the end.  And I predict more struggles with Stella and Ted.  I mean we can’t really know the mother already, can we?

I think we’re in for quite the ride this season.  What do you think?

Josh does a good job in the interview and while we don’t really learn a ton about the show, we do learn that Marshall does a full frontal nudity in his new movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”  I haven’t seen it, has anyone?

This weeks episode “Ten Sessions” I thought was pretty good…. except for one thing.  Can you guess it?  Yeah, Ms. Spears performance left something to be desired.  Wow.  That was bad.  Sarah Chalke on the other hand I thought was fantastic, and the difference between them was major!

All-in-all I really liked this episode.  Especially the two minute date. Oh and we had the taxi driver back (what’s his name again?)

My favorite part:

“I did a weird, ballsy move,” Segel says. “My first move, now that I’m successful, was to call Disney and tell them I wanted to write the new Muppet movie. People thought I was nuts. It was met with silence and a weird spattering of laughter. And I was like, ‘No, I’m serious, guys.’”

First, How I Met Your Mother is returning next week!  It will return next Monday (March 17th) with a new episode “No Tomorrow” and their MySpace page has a sneak peak.

Update: Turns out Monday Night Football is happening in my area again, so I won’t be joining in the live chat. Sorry. You’d think that after Vick was sentenced to 23 months in jail today they’d know the Falcons suck and no one wants to watch. Thanks for screwing me twice this season MNF!

(Update: I removed the picture as it was confusing people, including myself.  The show that Barney appeared on during HIMYM was The Price is Right.   The show that Neil Patrick Harris appeared on was Wheel of Fortune. (the one with Vanna White!) I hope that clears up some of the confusion. )Notice how I said NPH, not Barney. Yes the real Neil Patrick Harris will be appearing this week on Wheel of Fortune as part of Celebrity Week. The celebrities will be playing for charities and our NPH will be playing for Children International.

So the updated Alyson Hannigan cast page on CBS has a new striking picture. I’ve always thought she was pretty cute, but damn! But I noticed the other night when she was on Conan that she has changed her hair style. I call it the “euro-trash” haircut (no offense to any of the readers in Europe). I’m just not a huge fan of the straight bangs.  So I got to thinking.  Why the change? Will we see this on the show or have they miraculously taped all the new episodes? If we see it, will they explain it in the plot or will she just show up with a new hairdo? And finally, if it is explained in the plot, did they have to write it in because AH wanted to get a cut, or did she cut it for the plot?  All kinds of questions; I can’t wait for the season to begin!
