I just finished reading it and the interview is pretty good.  They talk about the insparation for McLaren’s Pub and how Josh actually got drunk once at the Pub where the interview (and screening) took place.  Check it out.

Josh does a good job in the interview and while we don’t really learn a ton about the show, we do learn that Marshall does a full frontal nudity in his new movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”  I haven’t seen it, has anyone?

Boaz catches up with Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Segel, Josh Radnor, and Cobie Smulders of the hit show, How I Met Your Mother. What’s going to happen this season? Who’s better at Nintendo tennis? Which cast member has an addiction? What exactly is a “threesome?” Find out the answers to these questions and more… And yes, there will be a quiz.

This interview touches on some “mature” topics, so consider yourself warned…

There are two things I want to touch on.  One, Jason makes a comment that most of the guys that like is work are a “interesting dudes” and that run of the mill people think he is boring.  The way he says it, it sounds like he’s saying he gets a bunch of freaks who follow his work.  I love most of the stuff he’s done but don’t consider myself a weird guy.  What do you think?  Am I just reading too much into this, or is that what you thought too?

Secondly, He talks about how on some of his other projects, he does a good bit of improv in. Do you think Bays and Thomas allow the same amount of improv?

- Bays and Thomas have planned how the last 5 minutes of the show will be, “whenever that is.”
- They often shoot more than one episode at a time, and the actors are as clueless as to how the final cut will look as we are.
- The actors all love the way the show is shot.
- Bays and Thomas think that each season should have it’s own theme. I wonder what season three’s theme will be!?!

Carter gives us some insights on to filming the show, writing the “Robin Sparkles” episode, and most of all drops this hit about a season 3.

TVGuide.com: OK, the last topic here, of course, is Season 3. What’s the latest temperature reading?
Bays: Oh, I feel very good about it. I’m not worried. It is nerve-racking, like waiting to get asked to the prom, but I think this show has such a strong fan base and it’s been getting such good responses….

TVGuide.com: It gets such critical acclaim and the fans are so avid, it’s almost surprising that the pickup hasn’t been handed down yet.
Bays: Yeah, but it will make it that much more exciting when they announce it in May.

So here’s to hoping that HIMYM doesn’t end up siting alone at home eating pancakes on prom night!

Even though it did not quite last a season, your first series, Freaks and Geeks became a real cult success since it was on the air. What was it like to work on and were you surprised by how it has stayed popular years after its run?

Yeah. That really changed my life. That was, in a lot of ways, the start of my career. I met Judd Apatow doing Freaks and Geeks. Judd taught me how to write and I’ve written quite a bit since then. I’m on my third script, now. One of them is with Judd at Universal, hopefully to be done this hiatus. We did that together, and then we did Undeclared, and we did a pilot together that didn’t get picked up, called North Hollywood. We just finished a movie called Knocked Up. So, I think more than anything, it was meeting Judd during that period that changed my life. He’s been a real mentor to me.

They also talk about the “Aunt Robin” line and how the writers were a little disapointed they had written them into this corner for the entirety of the show. Jason does remind us that they are both incredible writers and they could surely write a way out of that first episode line. We’ll just have to see!

The episode with Lily moving into his apartment was great.
But there again I was worried like, Ooh, are we revealing too much about Barney? His apartment’s wicked cool, why don’t they hang out at his place? Why are they always at Ted and Marshall’s? [Laughs] We’ll leave that to the bloggers.

As far as Cora, Jack and I know, we are the only How I Met Your Mother podcast out there. So with that I am deducting that he has been to HIMYM.org and from there has visited here. (How’s that for wishful thinking!?)
Anyways, go read the article. It’s 3 pages long but Neil reveals some HIMYM news I haven’t heard before, along with being an overwhelmingly charming interviewee.
