I’ve read a couple reviews on this weeks episode and oddly enough I don’t agree with most of them. Most have been positive, but I just didn’t think this weeks episode was that great.   I agree with JD, in that the structure of the episode was better than others, I just thought the porn convention was a lame plot line, and the credit card debt has been played out time and time again.  I mean even this season, The Office had a whole episode about the lead character in financial trouble.  Maybe I’m just being too harsh, but the folks in this weeks live chat pretty much all agreed it was a less than stellar episode.  Speaking of the live chat, we’ve had just a few people in there, but we are having great conversations about the episodes.  Voltaire is a HIMYM encyclopedia of knowledge and puts me to shame each week.  You should come join us either during the episode or right after it finishes for some lively debate.

Lastly I am still look for help with writing for HIMYB and/or doing the podcast.  For the podcast, I’m okay with people not committing to the whole season.  Just email me and let me know you are interested and we’ll work out a time!

I really like the recent trend in creating auxiliary websites for a show.  They are nice little nuggets for those of us that obsess about a show, and they offer just another way to attract more viewers.  Not to mention they make these characters seem just a little bit more real.  This site, the slap bet count down, along with all the character’s myspace pages give us another way to observe/interact with the characters we only get to see for 30 minutes a week.  Keep it up CBS!
