Reader K.M. sent in this tip (nice to see someone is pulling their weight around here), about Cobie (Robin) appearing in last November’s SELF magazine. The article doesn’t really have any interview with her or anything, but the writer sure does have nice things to say about her. It sounds like Cobie is a real down-to-earth type girl. What do you think, do I have a chance?

There are some great shots there and Cobie gives us some cool insights as to how things go down on the set. I’d love to see some more stuff like this, but I’d really like to get some insights from non-cast members. One of the lights or props guys could run a blog where they post weekly insights on how the show was made and it would instantly make it in my top-5-coolest-blogs-list-thing.

‘We are in the bar so much. We don’t drink real beer on the show, we drink O’Doul’s, which is non-alcoholic. Well, I think it’s actually like .5 percent alcohol. Jason [Segal] will have a couple, and he’ll get all cheery. I tend to not even drink the beer if I don’t have to. I wouldn’t say I get drunk, but I’ll have a sip and it’s like, ‘Ooh, I’m feeling kind of giddy.”’

So in the last episode, Single Stigma, we get a rare glimpse in to a future that is not “future Ted” talking to his kids and telling this whole story. Don’t get me started on it is a flash back to a flash back of a flash forward, but we do get to see what is to come.

We see that Lilly and Marshall are married in less than a year. So that is good. No more heartbreaks (I assume). We also see that Ted and Robin are there together. While it doesn’t mean that they are together, together, but it could show that they aren’t with other people. The one thing I found interesting is that Robin looks a little heavier than usual. Or Not per-usus as Barney would say. Now I don’t want to be calling Cobie fat, it maybe that the dress wasn’t flattering, but what if she is pregnant? Though she does have a glass of champagne, which she hopefully wouldn’t have if she was pregnant. Just a thought I had. Anyone notice this or am I just crazy? What else did you all notice about the flash-whatever?

It is a behind the scenes look at the making of “Let’s go to the Mall” music video from Ms. Robin Sparkles.  The video is short, and is kinda misleading in that it’s not so much about the making of the video, but it does have an interview with Cobie Smulders.  And best of all she is decked out in the Robin Sparkles outfit while giving the interview!  Go, Go… Enjoy.

Apparently the big news is that HIMYM is being compared to Friends, and the Ted and Robin story, some are saying, is much like the Ross and Rachel story line. Good thing we have Josh to set folks straight!

“I don’t think our show, I mean, other than (it being about) young people in New York, beyond that, the show’s not really like ‘Friends,’ Radnor said. “I mean, the way we tell stories … it’s almost like the whole show is a big mystery, ‘Who is Ted gonna end up with?’ and each episode is kind of a mystery. I just think it’s fascinating. And the other thing is … the Ross and Rachel thing was, are they going to get together, or aren’t they? We’re together, and the question is, when are we gonna part? “
