I receieved an interesting email tonight.  A representative from CharityBuzz.com informing me that they are running a auction to benifit HealthCorps, “a non-profit organization dedicated to educating American youth about the importance of Nutrition, working today for a healthy America tomorrow.”

The auction is for a walk-on role on How I Met Your Mother.  I’ll let them explain it all:

To raise proceeds and awareness for the organization CBS has teamed up with charitybuzz to give one lucky bidder the chance to join the hilarious cast of How I Met Your Mother for a walk-on role! As a non-speaking extra in one of the show’s bar scenes or other sets, the winner will also be able to meet the cast after the taping and take home some signed memorabilia. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fan of great comedy!

Currently the bid is up to $2,750, so you might have to dig deep for this one, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Well it’s been a long summer. I know things around here have been a little bleak, but that’s all about to change.  Season four is scheduled to start next week with the season premier titled “Do I Know You?”.  The synopsis from cbs.com is as follows:

In the all new season premiere episode, Ted realizes he knows shockingly little about his bride-to-be.

I’m really excited for the show to get back in full swing.  I encourage you all to catch up on what all happened last season so you can be ready.  I know that’s what I’ll be doing!

Aaron is back at his old tricks.  Just when we thought we knew all there was to know about the awesomeness posters, BeAwesomeInstead.com has poured hours into researching all the posters on Barney’s wall.  The site has a full break down of all the posters and all the info that Aaron could find.  If you’d like to help, there is still more research that needs to be done.  If not feel free to head over and educate yourself!

Who doesn’t love them some Neil Patrick Harris? I know I like just about anything he’s in.  While I am a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother I am also a big Indy film buff.  I love seeing what talented people can do with just a little bit of money and very little “corporate” pressure.  That is why I loved one of NPH’s new projects Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Its a short little mini-series, movie, play, whatever about super heros with a story.  It’s incrediblly funny, and well worth your time.  You can purchase the shows on iTunes or watch it for free on thier website.

Side note: this is what I think the movie / television industry should go towards. Allow your viewers to watch the show online for free or download it to keep for a fair price. I know I’m headed to iTunes right now to buy it!

I was emailed this several months ago and have just been slacking and not posted it.  It is an interview by PopEntertainment where Jay Jacobs interviews most of the cast at an Academy screening of their show for Emmy consideration.

I just finished reading it and the interview is pretty good.  They talk about the insparation for McLaren’s Pub and how Josh actually got drunk once at the Pub where the interview (and screening) took place.  Check it out.

I’ve never noticed before because I get my copy of HIMYM from iTunes, but Amazon also sells the episodes online. You can get the entire season 3 downloaded to your computer for $31.82. During the season finale, Ted has a few moments where his “life flashes before his eyes”. The other night I challenged someone to capture all the frames of his flash back so we could see what he saw. I couldn’t wait any longer and it wasn’t as hard as I thought so I went ahead and whipped it up. Below you will find a still from all his life moments. The season finale, “Miracles”, has just finished and I am in complete awe.  I don’t know weather to be pissed or exuberant, but I guess that’s what they were going for.

If you haven’t seen the episode yet and don’t want to know what happens, I suggest you leave move on.

I guess rather than go into details on what happened, I’ll just give my commentary.  I have to admit, I almost teared up during the opening when the gang was running to Ted’s aid.  Then to have Ted sitting there fine, caused me to shout some choice words at the TV and I might have thrown something, but we won’t tell my anyone that.

The rest of the episode was good.  Good flashbacks and what not, but lets get to the meat!  Do we know the mother?  The past two seasons finales have left us with some pretty big cliffhangers, but none quite as large as this.  I have a feeling she’s not going to say yes, but we’ll have to wait and see.  Anyone else as confused with their emotions as I am?

Lastly, I have a challenge for you readers.  During the accident, Ted says his life flashes before his eyes and we see a quick flash of scenes.  I am really curious about what was in the scenes.  Anyone care to get copy of the show, and go frame by frame and capture what went on?  I bet there is some crazy stuff in there.

It’s here, and I’m just not ready for it to end.  The good news is that we know the gang will return for another season.  CBS has the following posted as a episode teaser:
