“Everything Must Go”

7:58 pm May 14th, 2008 by ben

For the second time since the writer’s strike, we had the “pleasure” of Britney Spears appearing on our beloved show.  This weeks episode was pretty good.  We are still trying to figure out how Barney and Ted are going to make up, and we get a glimpse on how Marshall and Lily are going to handle the tilted floor in their new home.

If you haven’t already checked it out, you can see the stuff “Lily and Marshall” are selling at lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com.  The merchandise is a little out of my price range, but maybe some of you big spenders can afford something over there.  I have to admit, soon as they said the web address during the show I was on my laptop trying to see if the domain name had already been purchased (it was).

HIMYM’s Fourth Season Coming; Thanks Brit!

7:51 pm May 14th, 2008 by ben

CBS has announced that a fourth season of How I Met Your Mother is coming and a lot of attention is being paid to the fact that Britney Spears has appeared twice since returning from the writer’s strike.  While I am excited the show will continue, I’m not that thrilled all the attention is due to the fact that Ms. Spears was on the show.  The show is fantastic, and dare I say it, one of the best shows CBS has had in a while.  I just wish the actors/actresses got the attention, not the guest stars.  Though it’s hard to argue with the numbers.

Quincy Smith, the president of CBS Interactive, is discussing the company’s Web strategies. He notes that Britney Spears’ March appearance on “How I Met Your Mother” registered about four million impressions online. Her appearance this week has added another three million views so far. The logical conclusion of Mr. Smith’s team: “Ask Britney to appear on every show we have!” (source)

Next week is the season three finale, “Miracles”, airs Monday at 8:30 eastern.

Mother revealed or overactive imagination?

10:38 pm May 11th, 2008 by ben

Anthony sent this tip in.  Apparently over on Seat42f.com they think they have a clue to who the mother might be in our precious show.  I am going to warn you, if you like surprises, you might not want to click on the link to their site.  If you are game for some speculation, click away!  What do you think?  Could this be the mother, or does someone just have an overactive imagination?

Site Upgrade

12:50 am May 7th, 2008 by ben

Tonight I upgraded the site to use the latest version of Wordpress.  It was a pretty big upgrade and I am really worried something broke that I won’t know about.  This is where I count on all my awesome readers to help me out.  As you are going through the site, if you find anything that looks broken please let me know (leave a comment here).

The one thing that I know is broken at the moment is the contact form.  I’m looking for a fix, but it isn’t going well.

Ausiello interivews Josh Radnor

8:46 am May 6th, 2008 by ben

TV Guide’s Ausiello recently did a video interview (beware browser resizing! ugh!) with our very own Josh Radnor. Ever since last years “will HIMYM get renewed” mess and the drama Ausiello caused, I haven’t been a big fan of his.  I normally wouldn’t even post this, but I figured why should I be the one keeping it from you.  Feel free to sound off in the comments.

Josh does a good job in the interview and while we don’t really learn a ton about the show, we do learn that Marshall does a full frontal nudity in his new movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”  I haven’t seen it, has anyone?

“Rebound Bro”

9:31 pm May 5th, 2008 by ben

Interesting episode tonight.  I’m not really liking the plot with Barney not being part of the group, but I think I’ll trade that for more Sarah Chalke.  Overall I liked the episode.  It was pretty standard fare as far as plot advancement goes, but was chock-full of hilarity.

One thing this season, especially since the writer’s strike, has had is a lot of guest stars.  I know some people see it as a shady tactic used to get new viewers, but I personally welcome the idea.  The more guest “stars” we get on the show the more people who will watch and therefore a better chance of getting renewed.  Speaking of, does anyone know if we have an official word yet about season 4?

As always, leave your legendary - wait for it - dary comments below!

Oh and I have totally been slacking on putting up the polls for each episode… no more…

New Episode tonight “Rebound Bro”

6:46 pm May 5th, 2008 by ben

Looks like there is another new episode tonight titled “Rebound Bro.” I don’t have any more details than what CBS provides:

Ted learns a shocking detail about Stella’s sexual side.

Looks Spicey!

“The Goat”

10:32 pm May 1st, 2008 by ben

Craig and Carter have continued this season’s theme of story-line continuations and cliffhangers.  I’m still not sure if I really enjoyed this episode.  What do you guys think?

I definitely laughed out loud many times, but I did really appreciate the goat story-line, or the ending.  I mean why did they call this episode “The Goat” instead of something else?

We did see more of Barney’s office and his motivational poster collection and his amazing legendary shredder!  Then we had Rajit (spelling?) again and the goat.

I’m still on the fence and need your help, convince me in the comments whether this was a good or bad episode.

OMG!

11:15 pm April 22nd, 2008 by ben

I know that’s a lame title but really that’s all that is going through my mind right now.  I just finished watching the latest episode “Sandcastles in the Sand”, and OMG!  I’m so shocked I don’t even know where to start.

I guess those of us who have been wondering what the heck is up with Robin, can quit worrying that she doesn’t have much of a role anymore.  I mean after her and Ted broke up, things have been fairly quiet on the Robin front, but not anymore.

I think they did another great job bringing in old story lines and creating knew ones.  I don’t know any other show that is as good about this.  I can only imagine where the story will go from here.

(I’m purposfully not revealing too much about the episode as I don’t want to ruin it for anyone.  I’ll leave my thoughts on the BIG moment in the comments.)

Oh and be sure to check out the new Robin Sparkles video on MySpace.

Tonight’s Episode: “Sandcastles in the Sand”

4:07 pm April 21st, 2008 by ben

CBS.com is summarizing this new episode simply as:

“Barney, in his own inimitable style, helps Robin realize that she is awesome.”

I can’t wait!
